Read on for 10 Steps to a Successful Puppy Shower...

1. Send out party invitations

2. Allow your guests to bring their pet (assuming they are all up to date on their vaccinations), as this will allow your puppy to get used to being around other dogs, as well as people.

3. Think about the items you will need or want now that you have a new puppy, as friends will ask "what can I bring with me?"

4. Decorate using paw print balloons, napkins and plates.

5. If your are feeling very adventerous make a puppy party cake. Take a look at the cakes we have found for you...You'll be glad you did!

6. Be sure to have enough treats, cookies, water bowls and poop bags available for the pooches who attend.

7. Allow plenty of playtime for the pooches to get to know each other and socialize. Keep in mind, if your dog will be meeting other dogs for the first time, be sure to introduce them to the other dogs in small groups first rather than putting them with a large group of dogs they don’t know.

8. This is a great photo opportunity, so make sure you take lots of photos, to start you off the story book tales of Your Best Friend.

9. Have a quiet corner for the less energetic or older dogs, to relax and keep out of the puppy mayhem for a while!

10. Enjoy the puppy frolics and have endless fun!
